vvols dedupe

We are havig SSD disk for the first time. Is dedupe and compreson done only on VV lavel or it can be done on array level as well?whats with vvols?

It is set when the VV is created, but the dedupe domain is at the CPG level, meaning that all the VVs inside the same CPG will dedupe against each other. I believe you can set it as the default so all new VVs will be DECO unless someone intentionally toggles the setting when they provision a new VV.

how can I activete dedupe on cpg level? we do not have VVs, just vVOL.
