I have 200 VM and just one VOL..seem easier to migrate data on storage level.

Storage vmotion is part of vcenter?

I don't think you understand Vmware vVol.

Each VM will have at least 3 vVols each. That is one disk, the old .vmx and swap. If your VM has 2 disks, then you have 4 vVols etc. So 200VMs can't be anything less than 600 vVols.... They can all be a part of one Storage Provider or what you call it, which is similar to a CPG in 3PAR lingo, but you've never been able to peer motion (or DO) a CPG. That is VV layer only.

Storage vMotion is in vCenter yes. Right-click VM and select Migrate.
