Hi,

a previous admin of our 3par has been been "playing" playing with file persona.

Today we are only using it's iscsi features.

I wanted to make a new lun, with compression, and get the message that it cannot be used in conjunction with file persona.

How to disable that feature? It is not in use. No settings are active (as far as i can view in the gui).

Thanks,

Martijn

You need to do the reverse of this thread:

Hi,

thanks for this :-)

It worked!

Another question regarding compression.

Earlier i created a volume with dedup for my environment where only OS-ses are hosted.

Now i can finally enable the compression, but do i need to rewrite all data to a new volume or is there a command to do this afterwards?

Thanks again,
Martijn

If you have the DO license, you can convert the volumes to change the volume type from dedupe to dedupe+compression. That will read and write all data.
