Nimble Shelf evacuation

Post by JinSXS »

hi all,

we have a AF array which is currently maxed out ctrl + 2 exp..

as we bought the capacity in very small disk packs 240GB disks..

is there a way for us to "evacuate" remove 1 disk pack and replace it with eg 940GB SSD ?

Hello JinSXS, Nimble support's number is 877-364-6253. They answer the phone quick, and all they need is the SN# of the array to create the ticket and "officially" answer this question.

That said, you can horizontally scale by adding another Nimble into a group with your existing Nimble. That way you don't have an old disk pack floating around the office unused. You then get evacuate options to move data from one group member to the other. Not the disk pack granularity you were looking for, but an alternative to get you were you want to be.
