Hi,

customer receives emails from SP to root@customer.net
WG: Anacron job 'cron.daily' on SP0001619xxx

It is the SP sending but we donĀ“t know which service does this.

Do you have any idea ?

Thanks
Alex

I have a ticket open with HP to address this very issue. They have a workaround which consists of modifying a crontab entry. will have more details about that later. They will be adding this fix to SP OS 4.3.x but they do not have a release date as of yet.

In my case, all that was needed was to modify /etc/anacrontab to add >/dev/null 2>&1 to the entry.

Hello johnbecker31, hello guys,

Does it mean we should change anacrontab like this:

#period in days delay in minutes job-identifier command
1 5 cron.daily nice run-parts /etc/cron.daily >/dev/null 2>&1
7 25 cron.weekly nice run-parts /etc/cron.weekly
@monthly 45 cron.monthly nice run-parts /etc/cron.monthly

This issue is seriously bothering one of our customers.
Thanks in advance for you help.

Best regards,
