I have only fc disks in my 3PAR/7400 and on the only
cpg that I use, I get 99% allocated percentage
(in the cpg overview), even though there is
still about 55TB of free space in the system.

Does the CPG use all Disks in your Array, or is there an restriction not to use all of them?

At a guess it could be that with the current CPG policy (cage level availability) the system can't satisfy the availability requirement using all physical disks within the system or you could have a CPG filter or limit in place. Try creating a new CPG with a default stripe size and mag level availability, if the space then becomes available go back and check the properties of the original CPG.

BTW If you do need to change the original CPG policy you'll want to tune the volumes.
