HPE Storage Users Group

Hello,

I'm new to 3PAR just start learning on it while supporting our client. Just this morning the Windows team lead ask me to setup a group of users (i.e. domain\storageTeam) to access the 3PAR Storage system via IMC. I read the HP 3PAR Management Console 4.3.1 User's Guide and googled on the net BUT unfortunately I can't find any steps/solution how to add a group of AD Windows users in 3PAR InForm Management Console.

AD integration suits a lot of things well - from a security view though, I'd be pretty nervous about a "team", particularly a server team, wanting direct access to a 3PAR. Once running, management level changes should be rare enough that a very small number of people really need it.

If you are in a situation where you can't trust your server team to keep their mits off your AD groups and 3PAR, perhaps you can map super privs only to specific storage admins by name, instead of a group.
