Hello
I have 3 par 8200 , the issue that the free capacity is decreasing very quickly
No additional data have been added
We check compact cpg found no blocks to reclaim

We check hyper-v hosts for the value of disable notification is zero which is default

We check by the command get in this link
https://support.purestorage.com/Solutio ... eclamation

Most of the volumes are thinly provisioned
What other to be check from 3parside
And from hyper-v side

Thanks

So thin, with no dedupe or compression?

Then you should look at showvv -s ... If Usr Used = Usr Rsvd, then you're simply putting to much data onto the array.

Based on all your other posts I'm think you have issues with mulitple things. As long as you have snapshots on volumes, these will grow for all changes. If you have multiple snapshots of the same volume, you will get multiple iterations of those changes stored and things might escalate quickly.

We have 7 tera utilized in just 10 days
It can't be data written to the storage

I think Thier is an issue related to reporting free space from host and space reclimation on storage is not working in the right way in the storage

If you’re only doing thin, then I don’t quite see how that can be… Host and space reclaimation requires that you delete data, have you deleted or moved 7 terra in the last 10 days? if not, this is not your issue…. My assumption would be snapshot since you mention that in another thread but you haven’t provided any info to point the finger at something particular.

If you have the same issue on multiple arrays, are there anything in common with the arrays? 3PAR OS versions/patch level etc?

If this is a critical error I would get in touch with HPE support. They will help you in the timeline required to keep you out of trouble.

If support has expired it can be renew/extended or you can pay a «one time fee» for a single support case. My experience is that those «one time fees» often equals the cost of a year of support or something like that…. but again cost of extended support is a result of postponed hardware refresh … or in other words, it should be the cost of «doing nothing» when speaking with management on funding :)
