Hi,

I just attempted to install the latest P140,P141 updates on my 8440 system, and I am seeing readiness checks fail with:

Update to OS-3.3.1.648-P140 requires HPE 3PAR OS Upgrade Tool to be at version 031, but the StoreServ only has version 030.
Please load the latest HPE 3PAR OS Upgrade Tool onto the system and retry.

However, there is no "Upgrade Tool" upgrade package in the SP update list, only P140 and P141...

Where does one get this "Upgrade Tool", or is it supposed to be loaded from the SP automatically somehow? Or is this something support has to load manually?

Thanks for any pointers - I've been unable to find much in the way of documentation, and when I called into support, they seemed to have no idea what I was talking about...

You'll need to go to the HPE Software Centre;
https://myenterpriselicense.hpe.com/cwp-ui

You need a HPE passport account with at least one active 3PAR support contract registered to it. The 031 update was on there last time I looked (as well as all the other current updates). ;)

Once downloaded you can then upload to the SP from the same page you normally do updates from.

It's not easy to make such an analysis but I need to spend some time doing it for my writing an abstract for dissertation and I would appreciate any help.
