The HPE SPOCK website, can be hard to navigate but there are 2 documents I want to draw to your attention linked below.

I found them using the menu column on the left of SPOCK:
Other Hardware: HPE 3PAR <--- support matrices for the hardware
Software: Array SW 3PAR <--- support matrices for the software

At the top of the SW page you will find:
Active-Inactive Status of HPE 3PAR OS

At the bottom of the HW page you will find:
HPE 3PAR Support Matrix 3.3.1

First thing to understand is the definition between Active and Inactive, it is at the top of the SW document.
Quote:
Active: This version is formally released, active, and running within HPE Storage engineering labs for sustainment purposes and is being tested with solutions going through test and qualification. More than one version of firmware or software can be considered active at any time.

Inactive: This version has been superseded by newer version(s) within the 3PAR OS family. Inactive versions no longer have sustaining engineering capability for development, testing
or qualification against newly reported issues.

Support recommends 3.2.2 MU6, which has 'inactive' date of 11/2022, this is also the end-of-support date for the 7000 hardware. So it will remain active for the same duration that the 7200 hardware is supported.

3.3.1 MU1 is already set to 'inactive'

According to the hardware matrix, the 7200 says it is NOT eligible for MU5. This advice may change over time, or be superseded. Always consult your official HPE 3PAR support for specific advice to your unique situation.
