Post subject:  3PAR IPv4 AND IPv6

Hi all,

Setting up multiple 3PAR systems here, with a requirement for dual stack.
At the moment systems are running with IPv4 and need IPv6 added, but I'm wondering how.

What I currently got working:
  • SSMC (which needs one adapter with IPv4 and a second one with IPv6)
  • 3PAR Service Processor

Now setting up the 3PAR system(s), following the procedure documented in CLI guide for 'adding' an IPv6 address:
  • setnet addaddr <ipv4 address> <ipv6 address> <prefixlen>
  • Verify connection with ssh
  • setnet finish

This should technically work, but how do you ADD an IPv6 gateway??
Guides state the 'startgateway' option either sets the IP immediately or starts switching to the new one, but I want dual stack.

Anyones got ideas or experience running dual-stack on 3PAR?

No experience but read the setnet part of the cli reference guide:

As far as I read release notes, you need 3.3.1 for ipv6 gateway.

Got an update (although late):

On 3PAR there's NO option to go dual-stack. Either you run it on IPv4 or on IPv6.
