I tried changing 3par IP but in process seems that got stuck and my vmware vvols got disconected. all machines were working properly. VASA was offline. I aborted process from VSP and now everything is working OK. Still have to change array IP. whats with VASA... should I genere another cert from 3PAR with new IP and add it to vcenter or?? |

I would say you only need to change the cert if the IP is coded into it as a SubjectAlternativeName, or commonName. If there is no reference to ip, only DNS name like ours, I dont see why you would need to. Easy enough to inspect the cert by going to the vasa url in a browser and having a look from there. Little easier than CLI> |

how do I check this through CLI? so no changes to vmware either needed? |

showvasa -cert TRIPLE check with the browser your cert is only referencing fqdn rather than ip. if its ip, you will need to update it. easy enough to do that. |

Did you add the storage provider in vcenter with IP or DNS? |

I genereted cert in 3par and added its url with array IP in vcneter showvasa -cert shows Mgmt_Mode --Subject--- --------------Fingerprint--------------- server CN=3Par-8200 417a39e6f6b0a7e1f2a6eff924dc61c33c77a030 |

reading the orignal post once more.. How far did you get in changing the IP? Does the output of shownet have to lines of IP addresses where one is "changing" and one is "verified" or do you still have only one ? |

I had changing and uverified when problem occured. after abort command now I only have one IP. |
