Long story short, we have two identical arrays, which I patch in EXACTLY the same way via the vSP, basically click for click.
The systems are configured identically too. They are like identical twins.
What is not identical, and NOT good, is that one of them out of the blue is failing an upgrade readiness check with:-

Results from Check node serial id mismatch:
check_node_saleable_serial_number_mismatch: Node 0 saleable serial 34*****05 and array serial CZ******3 does not match. Consult support.

This is quite worrying for me, I dont understand how this can go wrong just sitting there?!

Should I be worried or not?

Someone has replaced node 0 at some point in time and not done it properly (or had a "dirty node" from a donor system). Not a huge problem until node 1 fail and you power cycle the array.

A quick support call should fix it.

The array is brand new! Nothing has ever been replaced, that is what I cant understand.

Then I would definitively log a support case if you've installed the system. If someone did the installation for you, I would call them back and say "hey, you left the system with an error message I would like to see fixed before accepting the installation".

If someone else did the install I'm also questioning why you are installing patches (as at least would have expected them to patch to latest and greatest).
