Some of the HPE tech info says 18 shelves, some says 20, some says 22. We're at 20 now and I've been told that we've hit the limit. From where is this 22 figure originating and what hardware could get us there? We're about to decom a different 7400c and trade-in the old hardware. I want to make a case for keeping two shelves (both are fully populated DCS2 models) but I don't know if we could even use them with the 7400 that we're keeping. Any thoughts on where we should start? |

Digging deeper... It's not a 7400c Just a regular 7400. No more shelves for us. Thanks for your help! Here's another question... I understand servicemag can be used to replace smaller drives with larger drives. Is there a technique that can be used to permanently vacate and remove FC drives and replace them with SSD? There are 8x 900GB SSD in the unit we plan to decom. I'd like to use them to replace 8x 300GB 15k FC drives. |

No servicemag to that magic. You need to dismiss the 15ks and admit the ssds. |
