Does anyone know if the stat(statpd, statvlun etc) commands have a performance impact on the 3par while executing?

Regards,

I don't think so.

I have personally used statpd few times even longer than the default iteration of 2 secs but never saw any issues with that and for statvlun as well, I haven't been a regular user of this but used it only few times never saw any such performance hits on array.

Thanks,
G Kapoor

Hi i dont think it will have performance impact on the system as it will just query and tell us the current stats. we can consider System reporter which may have same kind of behaviour but polls frequently the storage system which is licensed feature of HP ;)
