I'm new in form and I'm excited to learn new information. It's good to be among you.

And I want to share my first problem with you. Thank you in advance for your help.

I have the HPE 3PAR StoreServ 7400 4-node Storage Base (QR485A). Can I isolate it and use it as a 2X 7400 controller.? If yes, how is the procedure for this? Should I continue with Consol Menu with 8-6-1?

When I searched, I saw a different model with the model number QR513A with 7400 4 nodes. The QR485 A has the Fiel Integrated label. Does this mean that the controllers cannot be used separately?

Best Regars.

You have two problems with what you are thinking (or maybe both are the same)

What about serial number? You only got one....

And serial number is tied to system ID, which is tied to WWNs. If you split the system, run OOTB on both, they will use the same WWNs so they can never be used on the same fabric or connect to the same hosts.

If you manage to change serial/system ID, your license will no longer work.
