Post subject:  Peer motion from Hyper-V VM with attached iSCSI disks

Guys,

Just wondering if anyone has had to do this, I have a 7400 3par, which is connected by iSCSI and is used for Hyper-V. We have a VM which has LUNs presented to the VM over 20 disks which is about 100TB worth.

I'd like to migrate to an 8440 3par, but that 3par is FC connected. Anyone had any experience of doing this?

I should probably add, that we are replicating the VM using Veeam from Hyper-V cluster to another Hyper-V cluster, and the new cluster will be using FC to connect to the 3PARs which is why when the VM is in the new location, we need to migrate the disks from 1 3par to another changing from iSCSI to FC

Hyper-V live migration?

Without verifying this, I highly doubt peer motion will work cross protocol.
