We currently have a RemoteCopy pair and no witness so accept manual failover tasks but, sometimes our secondary site has power issues which once restored doesn't resume the RemoteCopy sync by design to prevent incorrectly failover.
Is there any method to send a notification email to report that the RCP groups are currently stopped & needs attention?

Only a minor issue as there's usually many things to resolve when this site has power issues but, I have once forgot to manually resync and a whole week went by without me realising

It does come up in healthcheck reports but I've not seen an alert for it.

The built-in alert threshold stuff only tends to allow you to look at performance based metrics but maybe you could setup a rcopy link threshold to send you an email if the bandwidth drops too low or goes to zero for a certain amount of time (assuming you have at least some traffic all the time normally :) ).

There are a few property based things I'd like to alert on too.

There's also a couple of 'protected volume' panels in the SSMC dashboard but I'm not sure if they'd show stopped rcopy group volumes as unprotected and you'd still need to pay attention to the dashboard to see it. ;)

If my memory serves me right, the "protected volumes" are volumes protected by RMC.

You can poll the status of RC groups over WSAPI and the SP will notify when the group fails but thats it. Any reason why you're not using the auto_recover parameter?

Thanks for the input guys, we run our secondary datacentre from our office and don't have a reliable third datacentre site for a witness server so to prevent automatic failbacks to our office which is known for power outages.

Looks like I'll just have to create a new process when I get an alert from the UPS (which only has capacity to power down the hosts cleanly tbh).

I'm not talking about auto_failover but auto_recover.
