Why Yes, I am a new 3PAR Admin...

I see this informational warning:
CPG CPG_FC_r6-12 SD and/or user space has reached allocation warning of 1.536e+04G

I was going to create some new VVs using that CPG when I saw this. We have plenty of unused capacity on the system (3PAR 8200). I had thought it would automatically allocate capacity as it needed...do I need to do something...

Thanks!

Hey there. You probably just have a warning set on the CPG. Our alarms at certain percentages as well. You should be able to see the % level if you edit the CPG. It will show you whats set in there. This is through the GUI of course. Im not sure what the CLI command would be.

Many thanks!

I increased the warning level and the message is gone but... what is it actually trying to tell me? Can a CPG actually become "full" ? I had thought as long as the appropriate disk resources were available I could continue to add volumes with a CPG. Am I missing something here?
