Post subject: | Fixing Failed CPG Due To Shrinked-up Space |
Dear House, I am new to 3PAR management...and I had storage administration to my job role after the storage administrator quit his job Recently we ran out of space due to poor management and out of 4 CPGs 3 of them have failed and I need to find a fix ASAP because its already affecting some production VMs. Can I be pointed to a guide on how to fix this; Kindly note that; 1. Its 7200 Model 2. Cant access CLi...and issue for another day 3. There is a plan to buy more storage 4. Employer is having issues with support After analysis, I found a TPVV housing just AD Event logs of 200GB which are backed up on a weekly period, I have redirected the logs to a different location and so I plan to delete all the logs then delete the TPVV. With this, I believe the CPG will have an excess of 200GB and I can then Fix the CPG changing it from the failed state and letting the VMs work properly. I know this is a lot to ask but am willing to learn. Thank you. |

You may have sorted this issue out already but once you remove the unneeded VV if the CPG still shows in error you <should> be able to do a compact on the cpg via the IMC. Large VV deletes can also take a bit as the system has to re-zero them to reclaim the capacity. Did you sort out the cli issue? there are a few possible causes most of which can be sorted via a search on this forum |
