Hi there,

Is there an SR command that shows XCOPY throughput on the array ?
- Where ESX offloads copying datablocks from volume to volume to the array

Thanks!

Hi, I was looking for something like this as well.

There is a column "Wrt_Same_Zero (KB/s)" delivered by srstatrcopy that sounds like something VAAI'ish, but that's not explained in the clihelp, and it's probably not what you are looking for...

If you want to find peaks in vaai usage, look for peaks in backend without a corresponding peak in front end or vlun statistics

Not seen this either.

Not sure what someone would call this if it was collected either...... "Avoided SAN traffic"? And even better, how would you measure it (as it tend to come in peaks)? kB? kB/s? MB/hour? MB/day?

an other way to find out if vaai or in this case xcopy is doing some havy load is to check the single round trip response via the system reporter and put some alerts on it so that you will be informed when somebody did start Xcopy. Ofcourse only applicable when your data is replicated.
