Can anyone give some tips of what to look at in VMWare, Windows, Etc that would give good indicators for a server to be stored in SSD?

Can anyone also give some tips of what to look at in VMWare or on the 3Par of existing VMs that are currently on SSD, if they really need to be in SSD or would they be just fine in FC?

Thanks for the replies.

If you have both types in a system, I would look at AO. Even if you have a VM or a volume which is suitable for SSD there is most likely a big part of that volume which would work fine on FC. System Reporter can give you information based on volume but it doesn't understand which part of a VV (and possibly datastore) is connected to each VM.

Let AO do the work for you, set it and forget it!

Good to know. I am reading more and more on AO due to taking on a 3PAR set up and learning it from top to bottom.

They have about 50TB of SSD storage but they have people manually putting content on it I believe. I may be asking a lot of questions soon to get some clarification.
