I'm clearing down the config of a 3par that has been setup to perform snapshots of 3 different VV's once an hour with an expiration period of 13 hours. Two questions. Is the best way to delete the snapshots oldest first? Does deleting snapshots affect the data in the base VV in any way? Thanks |

Hi, As they so, no such thing as a daft question  It doesn't matter what order you delete them in. And deleting snapshots does not affect the source volume (you thinking about VMware where snapshots have to be played back into the source ? ... 3PARs do snapshots normally, not the arse about face VMware way
