Hi

We currently have a 3PAR 8200 we have 4 disk shelves total including the controllers. We plan to add more disk 3 more disk shelves. Our current setup is

Disk Shelf 0 - SFF
Disk Shelf 1 - SFF
Disk Shelf 2 - SFF
Disk Shelf 3 - LFF

Looking at the cabling guide https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public ... =c04830947 the LFF should be the last shelf in the stack. We plan to add three more SFF shelves, would this mean we need to move the LFF shelf to the bottom of the stack below the new shelves, or chain down from the LFF shelf and add new SFF shelves below it.

Thanks

No
It does not matter if SFF or LFF, both have 24 Drives.
You Need no kind of "sorting".
Think, you can add NL Drives to SFF and SSD, FC Drives in LFF Shelf.

But be Aware, the IO Modules of LFF and SFF are the same, but have a different alignment.
Look at the Labels.
