Post subject:  How to get size information of deduplicated volumes

Hi @all,

I've created 2 VV's with deduplication enabled.
My systems runs on 3.3.1 MU2 (so the "new" deduplication is used).

When I look from the view of VMware I see the normal usage (4 VMs provisoned eager zero thick use the size of their virtual disks...as expected)...in this example 273GB used on volume "P031_M5000_L1".

When I look from the 3PAR CLI I see this:
5000 P031_M5000_L1 tdvv No Yes base --- 5000 RW normal 512 2560 1048576

How do I see this presented usage / fill level from the 3PAR system?

Best regards
crazy

See this HPE whitepaper on space reporting:

For a discussion on some of the changes to reporting in the new TDVV3 format see this thread : https://www.3parug.com/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=2992
