 Post subject: 3PAR SSD tier at 90% capacity

Hi, I currently have a 3par 9450 which has a SSD tier at 90% capacity. There is AO on the array and I don`t have any issues with performance. My concern is will AO still move busy regions into the SSD tier regardless of capacity till eventually its fills to 100%

Are you sure you are talking of 9450 ?
it's an AFA array...
You have raid 1 and raid 6 CPGs maybe ??


To answer your question : yes.
You can set alert warning on the CPG to block AO moving data to your tier 0.

Yes... sorry it a 7400. We also have 9450 which is nothing to do with this question.

We use the growth limit setting for fencing AO SSD tiers, I think this is what you are asking:
