Hi All

Hoping someone may have an idea as to whats happening with one of our 3Pars.

we have a 7200 which was shutdown in prep to move to another DC.

We have since powered it up to reconfigure but get no console output or power properly powering the system.

when checking the LED's on the back we can see that both PowerSupplies are showing the same issue the battery indicator LED is solid green and solid amber at the same time on both PS.

have been googling for a few hours now with no results for this issue so far.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

""Cheers
G

If you check the HP 3PAR StoreServ 7000 and 7000c Storage Troubleshooting Guide, on page 18. Which LEDs have which status?

Also, what is the LED status of the nodes(page22)

Edit: Did you power down (disconnect power cords) and power up the system before starting the move to know whether you had any latent hardware issues? Number one rule when moving systems that has been in production. It's always easier fixing issues first and moving later rather than moving stuff with issues and possibly get even more issues during transport.

Hi MammaGutt

thanks for the info.

short answer to the second part of the question is no.

Ive just been informed that the lights are not solid but they are all flashing. (hard to tell from an image)

im thinking maybe a controller needs to be re seeded.

have had a look through those pages and will check again.

appreciate the heads up and advise.

If the nodes are all dark, it would either be a re-seat or they might have failed.
