Hi

Recently we have this events in log on one of the SAS ports:

State : Resolved by System
Message Code: 0x02900de
Time : 2018-05-04 13:52:08 CEST
Severity : Degraded
Type : Component state change
Message : Cage 0, Port 0:1:1, SFP Degraded (Unqualified, check for unsupported cable {0x0})

Fixed by :
Time : 2018-05-04 13:52:08 CEST
Severity : Informational
Type : Component state change
Message : Cage 0, Port 0:1:1, SFP Normal


This particular port is from internal cage...

0:1:1 is a disk port... And it is complaining about SFP... Are you using AOC cables between cage0 and the next cage?

No Active cables, only one expansion connected to DP-2, this alarm appears only on DP-1...

Did you ever find a fix for this. We have a new 8400 4N that we just installed and are getting the following errors:

Alert sw_os An Update is Available
Alert hw_cage:0,sw_port:1:1:1,hw_sfp Cage 0, Port 1:1:1, SFP Degraded (Unqualified, check for unsupported cable {0x0})
Alert hw_cage:1,sw_port:1:1:1,hw_sfp Cage 1, Port 1:1:1, SFP Degraded (Unqualified, check for unsupported cable {0x0})
Alert hw_cage:2,sw_port:1:1:2,hw_sfp Cage 2, Port 1:1:2, SFP Degraded (Unqualified, check for unsupported cable {0x0})
Alert hw_cage:5,sw_port:2:1:1,hw_sfp Cage 5, Port 2:1:1, SFP Degraded (Unqualified, check for unsupported cable {0x0})
Alert hw_cage:6,sw_port:2:1:2,hw_sfp Cage 6, Port 2:1:2, SFP Degraded (Unqualified, check for unsupported cable {0x0})

Did you install the 3PAR yourself or did HPE/partner install it ?
All the parts "genuine" HPE parts ?
