I noticed a new version of the Upgrade Tool got posted tsusbportal.

Quote:
Purpose: The HPE 3PAR OS 4.2.0.19 U019 Upgrade Tool provides upgrade enablement for HPE 3PAR OS 3.2.1 GA or above. Upgrade Tools do not affect array operation outside of the upgrade process. This tool is intended to improve the online or offline upgrade experience by performing automated preparatory steps to ensure the StoreServ is in a known state, including pre-checks, postchecks and other validations. The staging of the Upgrade Tool is required for upgrades to HPE 3PAR OS beginning with 3.3.1. / Build: 190328 / Obsoletes: None / Description: Improves the upgrade checks during OS upgrade. / Guidance: U019 is intended for HPE 3PAR OS 3.2.1 GA or later. For upgrades away from HPE 3PAR OS versions prior to 3.3.1, please contact the HPE PointNext 3PAR Global Deployment Services for assistance with the upgrade.

Just to let everyone know, be aware of the recommended patches that are being posted in Infosight for 3PAR, at least 3.3.1 MU2 P60. It was recommended for 9450, however the release notes are for FC drives. ALWAYS READ THE RELEASE NOTES ;-)

Thank you,

I hope that my problem will be solved.
I wish everyone a nice day.

Hi Olegmk

Hello, everyone.
I'm a new member of the community. I got a 3par 7200, which has not been used for a long time. I want to update the software. Where and how can I download? Maybe someone will be able to share the link in a personal message?

I'm looking for this download link aswell, the HPE Portal is messy and I could not find any 3PAR OS on Software depot, even the HPE support cannot help.

- How can I follow the HPE firmware releases? What are your tips to stay informed about releases?
- Where can I download the 3PAR OS latest firmwares (+ release notes and upgrade path)

Today got the same error while upgrading 8200 MU2+P103 to latest 3.3.1.460-MU3:
Connectivity loss. Service Processor cannot discover IP nor initialize by serial number.
Production iSCSI data still flows just fine via all 4 paths (Host Target IPs might be redirected).

99% of the cases, the network configuration of the switchport which is connected to node0 is incorrect. Pull the cable on node0 and it will fail back to node1 which was running the management until it failed over.

Indeed, second MGMT port was in the wrong VLAN. Ping OK now.
(Subnet and MGMT VLAN were changed recently.. on active port only)

Update continued and succeeded.
Thank you! :ugeek:
