I could not find it on my hpe download page?
Do you have a download link?
Where I have to install it? On the SP or on the 3par? I will do it the same way as any other patch?

thanks

Post subject:  Re: HPE 3PAR OS 3.3.1 MU2 Release

I recently upgraded to 3.3.1 MU2 (HPE did the upgrade remotely).

As for the dedup, I got a ratio of 4.5 right now with a 1TB VV. Although I couldn't tell what the ratio was before 3.3.1 MU2. This VV has only VMware VMs (all windows), and only the OS vdisk is on the deduped VV (VMFS6 datastore).

VMware wrote for about 300GB of data on this datastore, and the 3PAR says it only uses 67GB. See it for yourself:

Code:
3par-toto cli% showvv -space vv-ssd-1
                                        ---------Snp---------- ----------Usr----------- ----------Total-----------
--(MiB)-- -(% VSize)-- ---(MiB)--- -(% VSize)-- ----------(MiB)----------- ---Efficiency---
Id Name           Prov Compr Dedup Type Rsvd Used Used Wrn Lim  Rsvd  Used Used Wrn Lim  Rsvd  Used HostWr   VSize Compact Compress
16 vv-ssd-1       tdvv No    Yes   base  512    0  0.0   0   0 75520 67614  6.4   0   0 76032 67614 299247 1048576   15.51       --
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
 1 total                                 512    0              75520 67614              76032 67614 299247 1048576

I think it's amazing what it can do.

This week remote support is putting P30, P32 and P38 on all arrays that are being upgraded to MU2. Our arrays upgraded a few weeks ago did not get any patches.

If anyone is planning to do MU2 P35 (drive firmware), I would skip it. I was just told the patch is being recalled and will be replaced by a new one.

This is the findings after opening a case a couple weeks ago about an error that came up the day after it was applied on my system. I'm told it doesn't affect anything and I can ignore the error. I guess that's the silver lining on my little 3par cloud? :)
