hi we running prtg monitoring tool and i need the SNMP(2) MIBs. we run some 3par 8400 with OS 3.3.1.269+Patches where can i download the MIBs? thanks for feedback kkw

Hi. It should be located on the Admin Tools ISO. It's called threepar.mib IIRC.

so what i can say now. the only way for snmp monitoring is that the 3par sends snmp trap to the PRTG Probe Server/trap receiver. with snmp get/snmp read you get nothing from the 3par system. In the PRTG you can add a device and an snmp trap sensor. and you can add the 3par MIBs, so the prtg system can identify the traps that the 3par is sending. 3par MIBs Download at HPE: https://h20575.www2.hpe.com (HPE Software updates and licensing)/ HPE Passport Login / Search SNMP and download the newest snmp pack How-To PRTG: https://www.paessler.com/learn/videos/p ... p-receiver so alarming is problem at this time. the only way with prtg is that you define a alarm like in the prtg video. the prtg will send you an email incl. the trap massage and thats it. via ssh it's another way to monitor the system but at this moment there is no ssh sensor from PRTG available but you can write a script and run it against the 3par system.
