Post subject:  E200 compatibility with BROCADE FOS 7.4.2

Hello,

We are in the process of upgrading our brocade 5300 switches to FOS 7.4.2. However, we have an E200 that we still utilize and it is not listed in the compatibility matrix. Does anybody see any issues if we proceed with the Brocade firmware upgrade or has tested a similar setup.

thank you in advance.

JT

FC is FC. It takes a lot to break it.

You're not saying anything about what you are upgrading from but it's been a while since the E-class was supported so I'm guessing it's been a while since anyone did any interop testing for SAN switches. I would be surprised if you still find the E200 in any compability matrixes. I'm not even sure if this was considered active when HP bought 3PAR...

I second that.

You will be hard pressed to find E200 on any modern compatibility list, but that just means it hasn't been explicitly tested. E200 is already unsupported... you can't get any more unsupported. I would be surprised if your existing version of FOS has E200 on the support matrix.... unless it was super old, if so I am guessing you guys just found the java cert expire issue.
