Hi gurus!

I've a strange error on my V400 when trying to repair a vvol following a crash of all 4 nodes.

There are 9 vvols showing as "needs_check,preserved". An example is shown below:

Code:
v400 cli% showvv forward_vol1
                                                                               ----Rsvd(MB)----- -(MB)--
Id Name                 Prov Type CopyOf BsId Rd ---Detailed_State----  Adm  Snp     Usr   VSize
 2 forward_vol1         tpvv base ---       2 RW needs_check,preserved  1024 1024 1025024 1048576
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
 1 total                                                                       1024 1024 1025024 1048576

When I attempt to repair this vvol, I get the error shown below:

Code:
v400 cli% checkvv forward_vol1
[color=#FF0000]VV forward_vol1 predefined nodes 0x0 should match online nodes 0xF.[/color]

I've tried offlining the vvol whilst repairing but get the same error

Do nodes own vvols? Is this some kind of inconsistency in the ownership of the vvol? I get the same error for all vvols that are currently showing as failed.

The V400 is running 3.2.1 MU2:

Code:
v400 cli% showversion
Release version 3.2.1 (MU2)
Patches:  P07,P11,P12,P13,P36

Any help is much appreciated.

Cheers

Sorry to hear about the 4n crash. I've never experienced a damaged/corrupt VVOL, if you haven't already, I recommend bat phoning HPe support.

Have you done a shownode to make sure all the nodes are online and participating?
