Being new to 3PAR im trying to settle into a weekly schedule of health checks and preventative maintenance. Anyone care to share what they do or maybe what commands you like to run?

Right now I do weekly CPG compaction, run the checkhealth -svc -detail commands weekly and make sure all the PDs are balanced.

I have local notifications from the Service Prosessor and expect it to notify me of any changes, so I usually only do health checks before any change (which is for me often enough).

Compact CPG and PD balance I don't do unless something is very off, the system is very unbalanced, I've recently deleted a lot of VVs or the system is very full.

HPE StoreFront Remote can be quite handy.
https://www.hpe.com/us/en/product-catal ... 37381.html

I have all my systems setup to send information to my StoreFront Remote portal.

It relies on information being sent by the Service Processors so you need to be allowing the information out. e.g. Call Home configured.

Gives you some analytics and health reports. Because its relying on data sent from the SP its not realtime but still useful.

While I like the storefront reports and emails, it is quite delayed from real time statistics for us. I like to run checkhealth -detail before and after any major changes just to confirm the environment, otherwise I rely on the SSMC and email alerts for notifications.

Storefront is great for keeping track of code released/patches needed on arrays as well.
