We currently have a T800 with 4 controllers hosting a SAS hosted web application with SQL backend and about 30 VMs. Performance has been great. We are now looking to add another 4 controllers and many drives to add load of a write intensive (75% writes to reads) SAAS application after a merger. I have heard a few things about 3Par not handling heavy write performance and unpredictable load as well as other SANs such as VMaxe even with Adaptive Optimization since it is not real time. Anyone have thoughts or experiences to share here?

Sounds like you have posotive experience with your existing 3PAR installation and SAS application. Our EMC guys like to tell stories about other vendors storage as well, and would love for us to replace all of our non-EMC with VMAX. Consider the source, and consider what your actuall real world experience has been.
