Here's a link to the SSMC 3.3 download page: https://h20392.www2.hpe.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=SSMC_CONSOLE

There are lots of new features throughout SSMC. A few of the bigger changes are:
  • Integration with Recovery Manager Central (RMC)
  • Add data protection to volumes as they are created
  • Dashboard customizations including new types of panels
  • FIPS 140-2 compliance
  • Export/import System Reporter reports between SSMC instances
  • Use the system filter to select individual systems, federations, or Remote Copy configurations

Your feedback helps us prioritize the backlog so please let us know what you think about this version of SSMC.

I've found the ISO's of SSMC 3.3, but I have a hard time finding the release notes/docs in the 'usual' 3PAR place. Any links to that? Or a way to find them on the HPE Support Site (which kinda sucks)

And use the new sort by date option, think the User Guide has just been updated again so is the newest item.

Hi there,

I don't know if these 2 have been raised so far, but 2 things that could be improved:

System Reporter - You can only go back 3 months of data from the current date. Looking at the SR data my systems store, hi-res data goes back 32 days, Hourly goes back 324 days and Daily data goes back 1030 days. Currently, I can only access data older than 3 months using IMC.

Creating new CPGs - When creating a new CPG, the device type is a combined disk type and RPM. You cannot create a CPG with both SSD 150K and SSD 100K disks. Using the command line and IMC this is possible.

You can select Custom Time in SSMC to select a range older than 3 months.

That works when editing or creating a report.

If you want to dynamically adjust it using the drop downs in the top left corner (how we adjust our reports to get the required info), you are limited to a maximum of 3 months on daily samples, 1 month on hourly samples and 3 days on hi-res samples.

In IMC, I can dynamically adjust the report to any time scale I want.

Hi, with Dedup V1 and V2 we just had to monitor the overal size of a cpg. The idea was to not grow cpgs beyond 64TB because of metadata-handling etc. All data in a cpg went in the dds, so monitoring the cpg was ok.

With Dedup V3, only dedupped data lands in the dds, overall cpg-size is not important. It's the dds that shouldn't be bigger than 64TB.

  1. Does this make sense? I hope so, because that's my little picture of the 3PAR dedup world
  2. Can the size of the dds be monitored/tracked/checked with SSMC? OS 3.3.1 is out for quite some time now, I think there MUST be away to have an eye on this stuff!

When creating a report and selecting "3 days" as time intervall, I get a report displaying the last 48h. On 10:00am 03/06/2018, I tried this an the diagramm/graph starts at 10:00am 03/04/2018.

Shouldn't it display data from 10:00am 03/03/2018 ??

[Edit:] The above happens with arrays that use 3.3.1 MU1, if I create a report with "3 days" on an array with 3.2.2 the graph starts with 10:00am 03/03/2018 as expected.
