Dear Master,

I need to upgrade my Storeserv 7400, currently it's running Inform OS 3.1.3 MU1 and need to upgrade to 3.2.2 MU4. I found difficulties to get the upgrade instruction or upgrade path. kindly advice the upgrade path or where can I get related documentation.

Thanks & regards,
Arie

Go to Spock: http://www.hpe.com/storage/spock
Other Hardware > 3PAR > 3par_storeserv_upgrade_matrix.2017_09_14.xlsx

Update SP to 4.4 GA-53 (MU2) than to SP 4.4 GA-58 (MU3)
Install 3PAR 3.2.2 MU2 P46.
Than Update 3PAR to 3.2.2 EMU4 add Patches (74, 84, 85, 91, 92).

want to update to 3.3.1 whats the right path?
curent state 3.2.2.612 + P56,P59,P74,P84,P85,P91,P92 and SP-4.4.0.GA-58

SPOCK: "Upgrade to SP 4.5 MU2
Upgrade to 3.3.1 MU1
Upgrade to SP 5.0.2 with latest patch
May require SP HW refresh
Upgrade to 3.3.1 not supported on F&T classes"

is this the right one?

do NOT do an upgrade yourself from 3.1.3 there are many scripts that are not documented in any HPE documentation for self up grade and are very important.

I believe you will have to go to 3.2.1 emu 3or 4 then 3.2.2 emu4

As there are changes in the databases etc between versions.

You are far better off getting hp to do the upgrade.

Cheers
Steve

I just contaced them and they told me "As per the latest update from the engineering team, the OS Version 3.3.1 is not recommended to be upgraded"

anyone knows why?

3.3.1 is not stable enough for now. MU2 will have important fixes but it is scheduled in May.
