I was hoping I'd find someone in a similar boat that asked this recently, but we're trying to migrate off an old T400 3Par to a newer 7400. We unfortunately do not have Peer Motion or Remote Copy licensing. I haven't looked into Online Import to see if it will do what we need to do, so maybe it's an option. We can have downtime here, but the sticking point is we have quite a few boot-from-san volumes for physical Windows servers. Any ideas? Thanks in advance! |

Online import is effectively a cut down version of Peer Motion so you should be able to use that. Boot volumes can be migrated online but will likely require some downtime and manual intervention to cut these over as they are statically mapped to the old system within the HBA bios. |
