Check the expiry time on the SP for that recipient, got caught out by that yesterday as array was over 5 years and I'd been clever when I set it to the expected replacement date.

we have an odd issue where we have set sralertcrit for various things like high bandwidth on vluns etc and it used to send emails if it crossed the threshold but now it does not. on one array this works on the other it just doesnt send anything. I checked the SP all looks ok and test emails work from there. Im a bit rusty, is there some setting on the 3par cli that handles where to send SMTP ? I thought all that was set in the SP. this is the test alert i was trying to generate. on one array it sends immediately after i add it with createsralertcrit on the other nothing... showsralertcrit Name State Freq Severity Type Conditions Comment crapcheck enabled hires info vlun sum_total_kbps>500 |

SP sends emails on alerts (also those triggered by sralertcrit). Sounds like communication error between SP and 3PAR, maybe try removing and re-adding it on the SP? |

Do you see the sralertcrit alert on the 3PAR in IMC or SSMC? If it's there, email test from SP is okay and you've tried deleting and re-adding the 3PAR on the SP I would consider logging a case with HPE. |

Yeah that was not it. Still having the issue but whats even crazier is that other things like disk fails or port fails or normal alerts do come through. just not anything on the sracritalert setup... |
