Hello all,
has anyone encounter the following messages? They started showing up about a month ago. We haven't made any changes to the system since a long time.
We are running 8200 with 3.2.2.530 (MU3)

Looks to me like the background job releasing un-referenced blocks in the dedupe pool/store.

It's a bit disturbing though because it just started to occur a month ago and it does not stop. Maybe I should create a ticket to HPE.

It's garbage collection for the DDS so is intended to run often - whenever it gets a chance. If it only recently started then you either didn't previously have dedupe volumes or maybe you recently upgrades the firmware.

It's garbage collection for the DDS so is intended to run often - whenever it gets a chance. If it only recently started then you either didn't previously have dedupe volumes or maybe you recently upgrades the firmware.

unfortunately nothing of the above is true in our situation. We have been using deduped volumes since the beginning and we haven't had a firmware upgrade since the installation of the storage about a year ago.

it looks just like regular garbage collection which if it wasn't happening you'd have a lot of stale data sat in the DDS and be running out of space. From memory this kicks off every 5 or 6 mins or so but maybe there's a high watermark or some other trigger that you've hit, open a ticket and see what they say.
