How do I control remote access via SSH to the 3par fromt he HP side? I have used a Compellent in the past where I can enable/disable access with a click of the button and don't need to worry about generating certs or one time things for the compellent guys to get in. Simple on/off button.

When my current 3par was setup I think it was done so I don't have to intervene to generate any codes but it seems like that also allows HP to come in at any time . Can I have something like the compellent way of doing things for remote access?

Thanks

I've never used it but 3par policy manager sounds like it'll do what you want for $$

"single click" option on the SP to enable/disable Remote Support.

It's called CCA or customer controlled access.

On the previous version of the SP before the GUI changed to look like OneView, I was able to use these http requests to enable and disable the CCA. I had a powershell script that ran every morning that would check if CCA was enabled, and if found, would disable it an email us.

OUT = outbound support only, such as logs and phone home events. Both implies inbound remote control and outbound phone home.

Code:
https://<ServiceProcessor>/sp/sp_maint/spm_doBYS_menu.php?currentstate=OUT

Code:
https://<ServiceProcessor>/sp/sp_maint/spm_doBYS_menu.php?currentstate=BOTH
