Hi Champs,
we have a requirement to see the data on destination volume (RCIP)by assigning this to a VM on regular basis.

1) I tried exporting the volume (destination vol in RCIP) in destination site to ESXi and from there as an RDM to VM, but it gives I/O Error.

2) Then tried creating snapshot (RW) of the volume (destination vol in RCIP) and presented Snapshot as an RDM to VM and it works fine.

Option (2) worked but how to see the data which is replicating every hr (Delta changes).
I thought may be Physical copy instead of snap can be an option (by doing resync from storage on regular basis) but i am not able to find the Physical volume in export list.

Please suggest

So is your RCIP volume on A-Sync or Sync rep?

If its sync it shouldn't be any different?

why do you need to look at teh secondary volume?

Not something I've done but think it's a case of creating scheduled tasks to update or recreate the RW copy on the target site. Possibly something related to the updatevv command but I know that's had a lot of bugs recently.

I have seen a couple of peeps on here doing something similar in the past.
