I recently installed a new unit 3par 8400. I need deduplication and compression features for my Virtual volume. The OS version now is 3.2.2. I read the article saying compression requirement need the OS to be 3.3.1. The latest OS version i can get in software depot is the current version I have. How can I get the OS version 3.3.1? |

Contact the people that sold it to you. Unless something has changed it is still a monitored release which means that your HPE rep must request it and HPE must install it. As 3.3.1 MU1 is released I wouldn't be surprised if this will be lifted shortly (if not already). |

I just want to throw this out there because you mentioned you have an 8400 which can use FC, NL and SSD disks, as with dedupe, compression is only available on VV's residing on an SSD tier. |
