Hi All

Just looking for some info, we have a 7400 2 node system, running 3.1.2 (MU3)
we currently have 6 x M6710 (Including the controller), so 5 additional shelves, and 2 x M6720 shelves.
We are looking to add 2 additional M6720 shelves.
I believe this is possible on 3.1.3, but just wanted to see if this was possible on 3.1.2 (MU3)?

That's correct, the 7400 can control up to 9 external shelves per node pair. To go farther you need to expand to a 7400-4 or do a head swap to a 7400c or 7440c. The 7440c can address up to 19 enclosures per node pair! Personally unless it's for archiving one or two huge applications I'd rather do the expansion since it gives you persistent cache (ie no failure to write through mode when you lose a node or perform an OS upgrade).
