My customer's 3par 7200 failure in 0:7:0,
the disk pdid is 7,
and he replace the failure disk without servicemag and the other standard procdure,
after the disk replace,
he use the admithw to add the new disk,
but the disk is always in degraded state,
and the new disk get a new pdid "8",
but the bad disk pdid 7 is still in system,
and it's CagePos is the same as pdid 8,

Is anybody now how to fix thie problem?

Ive exchanged a few disks in our 7200, and i dont believe the guidelines state that you need to do servicemag, nor admithw for disks on the 7000 series. Please correct me if im wrong.

After the rebuild is complete the degraded device will be removed, and the new disk has a new id.

more can be seen on the pages 10-14 in the service guide:

can you show a showpd -s, to find out what the reason is for still being degraded?
