Simply because VMware don't support those features or metro storage cluster on VVols as of yet.

Did anyone actually get on the beta program?
I cannot wait to try out vvols, its going to make a big change operationally

I was in the beta, and while I didnt play with it much, I can say that VVOLs are awesome and I am excited to move over. :)

I was really excited until I realized Remote Copy and Peer Persistance is not supported with vvols...
The days of LUN management is not over.... :(
