what frustrates me most is that to use the reporting engine, it is a requirement to use the en-us locale.

We are not US-bades, and have problems with the reports-part as well. Do you have more info on this issue?

We can create reports, but as soon as we start the reports-part and therefore the first report automatically, we immediately get an "Unexpected Error Received from Server". Reports can not be used, edited or deleted...

Hi.

In the release notes under known issues there is issue: 123389

issue: Unexpected error received from server [500]

Description:
Problem accessing performance reports sends an unhandled server error to the UI

Corrective Action:
When running SSMC on a European OS, make sure to set the locale to US/English.

Yes SSMC performance is faster than IMC, we have struggled with IMC for over a year as our scale has gotten so large we have thousands of volumes (base+copies) and the IMC takes forever to load the info and then when it refreshes is painful and eventually Java causes it to crash.

Used it last week for an install, and I'm not a fan, it's got a long way to go, the arrays kept disappearing from it and had to go back into the admin part.

Also couldn't ocnfigure remote copy through it so had to use the imc anyway.

I think it needs a power user setting which then doesn't hide all the detail some of us like in the imc, things like fc ports, I get all the info in one screen about wwpn, partner address etc, I have to click through several screens to get the same info in ssmc.

Reports seems bit basic too at the moment, couldn't work out how to schedule them either, but by the sounds of it I wasn't missing out if we have to set the local to us, is that the server it's hosted on though rather then the os of the machine you're using to access it?
