I received an email with this week's "Routine Alert for your equipment...." from HP this morning. It includes this "customer notice" dated January 8.

CUSTOMER NOTICE: HP 3PAR OS 3.2.1 MU2 is Now Available (c04539242)

As per usual, it says to go to http://www.hp.com/go/hpsoftwareupdatesupport to download it, but it isn't there, and it still isn't on the FTP site.

that is a dumb bug in the IMC, the inserv code is not the culprit there. as far as i've seen the SSMC and cli are fine.

Yeah that is what i'm thinking, uploaded a bit too hasty.

I can not confirm that this issue is only imc related.
I created a vv via cli with the same error as seen with imc.

if you could post the cli command used, i'll test it on a box here. up to now i have not seen any issues on cli yet

Can't find it on the ftp. neihter the SP4.3Mu1 or the supposed new manament console 2.0.. All release notes are out on these.

Hope they will be there next week so i can test them..

You've likely got a CarePack on your unit - just call support and they will give you the updates and all the necessary docs... I called last week and they acknowledged it is GA, but has not yet been put out on the FTP or Software Update sites. They uploaded it to a FTP server for me (the same server that they would have you upload logs to) and I downloaded it from there. Install was a snap on my lab 7200. I'm planning to tackle some customer production 7200s later this week before heading off to the HP Master ASE Storage Conference this week...

I Have the SAID and the AMP ID for several of my customers, buti cannot download it througt the www.hp.com/go/hpsoftwareupdatesupport/

Seems that the actual 3PAR codes are pulled from that site now? The SP and other 3PAR stuff is still there.

The SSMC, IMC 4.6.2 and InServ code 4.2.1MU2 is GA, but still in controlled release.
This means it is only available on request, and not on the download portal.
after a certain period it will come out of controlled release and be available everywhere.

It is apparently the new way of doing release management for HP 3PAR code. It does make sense to me.
