 Post subject: Reboot 3par - shall i do it?

Hi guys,

i have 3par 7400c for last 600 days he is working without any issue.
shall i reboot it for maintenance purpose?

3par is working and i don't touch it for last 356 days.
is it normal?

These devices are meant to run uninterrupted - I wouldn't touch it.

You need to reboot a node for a firmware update however, I'd look into what you may have outstanding.

If you have 600 days of uptime, then you are probably due for a code update.

I would consider rebooting any storage array 'just because' as unnecessary risk.
